Mentoring is critical to a family's ability to be self-sufficient.
This is an excellent opportunity for a small group, Sunday School class or
other group to be involved in a hands-on outreach to the poor.
Want to get involved? Here's how it works:
- Organize a small group of two to six volunteers from your congregation or organization and call FSHI.
- Schedule with FSHI for your 90 minute training session.
- The mentoring team meets the family and, with the help of FSHI, determines their relational, material, and spiritual needs.
- After being matched, the mentor meets there family.
- The mentor team gives a few hours every 3 weeks for a total of seven meetings.
